A sweeping aerial photographic view of the Hoddle Range and Wilsons Promontory coastline, dense eucalypt forest rolling into pale-gold beaches and turquoise shallows. The rugged green ridgelines run diagonally across the frame, tapering into the slender finger of the Prom reaching into a steel-blue Bass Strait. Late afternoon golden light grazes the tree canopy, revealing subtle variations of green and casting long, soft shadows into sheltered gullies. Fine sea mist curls along the shoreline, softening the distant horizon. Captured in crisp, high-resolution realism from a high bird’s-eye perspective, with wide-angle composition and sharp focus throughout, the image feels expansive, calm and awe-inspiring, ideal as a hero banner for a conservation-focused site.

News and Updates

This page outlines current campaigns, their aims, and the context behind our work to safeguard habitats across South Gippsland and Wilsons Promontory.

Protect Hoddle Range – stop the new Quarry

Our first campaign is to stop a new open cut mine in Fish Creek. The time has come to take a stand to protect this natural environment we all care about so deeply.

A tranquil Wilsons Promontory wetland at dawn in photographic realism, glassy water reflecting a soft pastel sky of pale pinks and cool blues. Slender reeds and rushes emerge from the mirror-like surface, their dark silhouettes creating delicate vertical lines. In the mid-ground, a pair of black swans glide silently, leaving subtle ripples that distort the reflection of distant forested hills. Low mist hangs just above the water, blurring the boundary between land and sky. The first light of morning touches the reeds and swans with a faint golden rim, while the rest of the scene remains calm and muted. Captured from a low, shore-level angle with a wide composition, the mood is serene, contemplative and protective of fragile habitats.

A dramatic photographic scene of a rugged Wilsons Promontory granite headland meeting a churning Bass Strait, massive rounded boulders in warm pink-grey tones stacked above a narrow, wave-scoured inlet. White surf crashes against the rocks, sending delicate fans of spray upward, while seaweed clings dark and glistening in crevices. Late afternoon light cuts in from the side, creating strong contrasts, deep shadows, and glowing highlights along the wet stone surfaces. Wisps of salt spray soften the distant horizon and a band of dark cloud hints at incoming weather. Captured from a slightly elevated cliff-edge perspective with a wide lens, the image balances power and fragility, perfectly suited to community discussions about safeguarding wild coastlines from harmful development.
